The 83 million ton-per-annum Korba coal mine are owned by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (a subsidiary of state-owned Coal India). The three largest mines are all surface mines: Gevra (35 MTPA capacity), Dipka (25 MTPA), and Kusmunda (18.75 MTPA); the smaller Korba surface/underground mines are also included.
